These are the rules of the Silk platform — what we do, what we ask of you, and what our verification does and does not promise.
What Silk is
Silk is a Kuwaiti business platform. It connects buyers with factories, suppliers and specialist companies, and it carries guides that help a business go from an idea to a finished product.
Your account
Give truthful information and keep it current. One company per vendor account. Silk may suspend an account that abuses the platform, its staff, or other members.
What the Verified badge means
The badge is earned, never bought. It means two things happened: someone from Silk visited the business in person, and its legal documents were checked against official records. The badge carries the date it was checked. It reflects what we found on that date — it is not a guarantee of future performance, and it can be taken away if a business stops meeting the standard.
Orders and payment
Orders placed through Silk are agreements between you and the business you order from. Payment today is cash on delivery. If something goes wrong, contact Silk Care — we look into it personally.
If you list your business on Silk
Real photos of your own work. Real prices. Honest availability. Answer the buyers who contact you, and keep your licence information current. A business that lets buyers down can lose its badge.
Silk's role
Silk provides the platform, the verification service, and mediation when something goes wrong. The commercial agreement itself is between the buyer and the business. This section is being refined with Kuwaiti legal counsel.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as Silk grows. This page always shows the date it was last updated, and important changes are announced on the site.
